Colabtec Seed·Incubation program · Zhuhai, China

Good ideas are seeds. Here they become prototypes.

Colabtec Seed is Colabtec's incubation program. We take in early-stage ideas, projects, and startups and create the environment for them to germinate: technical assessment, mentorship, a product roadmap, labs, and engineering. All backed by real infrastructure in China, inside the Zhuhai Kameda Technology ecosystem.

Who it's for

Seed is for you if…

Inventors and researchers

You have a technical idea, a study, or an invention still living on paper — and you need a lab, engineering, and mentorship to take the first step.

Pre-MVP startups

Your team already knows what problem it wants to solve, but still needs to turn the solution into a prototype, proof of concept, or initial product.

Students, professors, and developers

Technical projects born at a university or in code that don't yet have structure, a company, or a defined path.

Small businesses with a new product

Brazilian companies that need to get a product off the drawing board and want to do it with China's industrial ecosystem close at hand.

The problem

Between the idea and the prototype lies a valley where most projects die. Not for lack of talent — for lack of environment.

  • You don't have a lab, equipment, or a bench to test what you've imagined.
  • You're missing applied engineering: someone to turn the concept into a board, firmware, and a product.
  • You don't know where to find suppliers or what manufacturing costs.
  • Without mentorship and a roadmap, every decision becomes trial and error — and the project loses months.
  • When it's time to seek investment, you're missing the prototype, documentation, and pitch to show.

Colabtec Seed exists to solve this

How it works

Step by step, no mystery

  1. 01

    You apply

Fill out the form telling us your idea, the problem it solves, and its current stage. It doesn't need to be ready — that's what Seed is for.

  2. 02

    We assess it technically

Our team analyzes feasibility, field, and what the project needs. Every project is evaluated individually, in confidence.

  3. 03

    We build the roadmap

Together we define the plan: stages, mentorship, lab usage, engineering support, and the commercial format that makes sense for your case.

  4. 04

    We incubate the seed

Your project moves forward with prototyping, supplier research, documentation, and access to Colabtec's facilities in Zhuhai, per your plan.

  5. 05

    We prep the next step

With a prototype in hand, we support your pitch, intellectual property, and introductions to investors, funds, and partners in our network.

Benefits

What you get with Seed

FAQ

Still have questions?

What's the difference between Colabtec Seed and Colabtec Speed?

Seed is incubation, Speed is acceleration. Seed serves projects that still need to be born or take shape as a prototype. Speed serves companies that already have something working — a product, a market, or revenue — and need to grow faster. If your idea is still on paper, this is your place.

Do I need a registered company or a prototype to apply?

No. Seed was built precisely for the stage before all of that: inventors, researchers, students, and pre-MVP startups. If you have a good idea and the drive to develop it, you can apply now. We'll evaluate it and tell you honestly what we see.

How much does Seed cost?

There's no single price list, because incubation can work in different ways: a monthly fee, an entry fee, equity, a development contract, or a project funded by an investor, government, or public call. Every project is evaluated individually and the model is defined together with you.

Are my information and my idea protected?

Yes. Submitted projects are handled in confidence with controlled access levels. When we present the project portfolio to investors and partners, it's done in summary form and always respecting each project's confidentiality.

Do I need to go to China to participate?

Seed's physical infrastructure is in Zhuhai: labs, engineering, and the industrial base of Zhuhai Kameda Technology. Access to the facilities is defined by each project's plan — assessment, mentorship, and roadmap can start remotely, and the trip to China comes when the project calls for it.

Can Seed connect me with investors?

Yes. Seed also works as a project portfolio presented to investors, funds, government, universities, and strategic partners. Incubated projects get support with pitch and documentation to arrive at those conversations prepared.

Tell us what you want to create. The evaluation is individual, confidential, and commitment-free.
