What's the difference between Colabtec Seed and Speed?
Seed is incubation, Speed is acceleration. Seed is for projects that still need to be born or become a prototype. Speed is for companies that already have something working — product, customers, revenue — and need to grow faster.
Do I need revenue to apply?
Not necessarily. Speed is for companies with some level of validation: that could be an MVP validated with real users or an operation already generating revenue. If your idea is still on paper, the right path is Colabtec Seed.
How much does the program cost?
There's no fixed price list. Speed can run on a fixed fee, a monthly retainer, a success fee, equity, or hybrid models with an investor. Every company goes through an individual review, and the format comes out of the diagnosis.
Does Colabtec really have infrastructure in China?
Yes. Nelson Kameda has been operating in China since 2006, and Zhuhai Kameda Technology, his factory in Zhuhai, has labs, an SMT line, and a real track record of projects for Brazilian companies. Colabtec also has about 1,000 m² of infrastructure in Zhuhai.
Do I need to travel to China during the program?
It's not required. Much of the operation happens with the local team in Zhuhai handling suppliers, production, and quality. But if it makes sense for your plan, the Zhuhai facility is ready to host you and your team.
How does the selection process work?
You apply through the form, we review your company's profile, and we invite you to a conversation. Then comes the business and technical assessment and, if there's a fit, we define the plan and the commercial model of the acceleration together.
